Sacred Circle NC Peer Trust-Love-Circle (TLC) Groups

The goal of these small groups is to:

-Building authentic friendship, feel supported, and have consistent, safe space to share what’s on your heart.

The format for these groups is as follows:

-Each member takes 10 minutes to talk about anything they need to talk about

-10 minutes for the others in the group to ask deep questions, share reflections, and lovingly reflect and relate (keeping it about the speaker but letting them know they aren't alone in their experience)

-PLUS to begin, conclude, and before and after each speaker, we would share in a minute of silent, personal prayer to welcome in Spirit to speak to our hearts and deepen our personal connection to ourselves and each other

-Each group meets for about 2 hours

These groups are hosted & facilitated by Minister Rachael E. Harris to make sure they adhere to the following rules:

Strict Confidentiality & Discretion

· what is shared within the circle, stays within the circle, without exception

Active Listening

· Keep your mind focused on the speaker, not your response

· If a response is appropriate, reflect back something that they were saying or your shared

· No interrupting

No advice giving, fixing, or rescuing

No assuming everyone believes the same thing– we are in a room with many perspectives and experiences

“I” statements – stops us from applying our persons truths to the whole
